Hanna Weir, LCAT
Across all ages, my goal is to create a therapeutic environment that feels safe, respectful, and grounded—one where clients feel understood, supported, and able to engage in meaningful growth.
I am a New York based licensed clinical therapist providing individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. I bring extensive experience working with people across a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, including anxiety, mood concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, family transitions, and complex diagnostic presentations. My work is thoughtful, attuned, and with the use of evidence based interventions, with a strong emphasis on helping clients build emotional awareness, coping skills, and a sense of safety within themselves and their relationships.
Adult Psychotherapy
In my work with adults, I provide a supportive and reflective therapeutic space to explore emotional challenges, life transitions, relationship concerns, and patterns that may feel difficult to shift. My approach is collaborative and individualized, grounded in the belief that therapy should meet each person where they are, at their own pace.
My clinical style is flexible and responsive, and I tailor treatment to the unique needs, strengths, and preferences of each client. When appropriate and requested, I incorporate creative and mind-body interventions into therapy, including expressive art, music, guided meditation, breathwork, and movement. These approaches can be especially helpful for clients who benefit from non-verbal or experiential forms of expression and regulation.
Children & Adolescent Psychotherapy
I bring extensive experience working with children and adolescents across a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns, including anxiety, mood challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, family transitions, and complex diagnostic presentations. .
I also work closely with parents and caregivers, offering parent coaching and collaborative sessions designed to help families feel supported, informed, and empowered. I believe meaningful progress often happens when parents are given space to better understand their child’s emotional world and are equipped with practical tools to respond with confidence and clarity
